Year in Review 20.14 - Better late than never right?

1.      What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?

I had ran a way better time for the Zombie Survivor – kept all my flags in tact till the very last 50m.  I’ll consider that a win for me!
Went to Lake Louise for the International Ice Carving festival….will make this a yearly tradition, we are going again in 2 weeks.
Consistently worked my Scentsy business – I’m so grateful for so many that have supported me
Went to my first Comicon!  Loved it!

 2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I did pretty good at keeping my resolutions.

Managed to fall off the wagon with the running and diet…BUT I had worked out daily for an hour since Thanksgiving (minus Christmas holidays)
Now to consistently combine the two the WHOLE year - lets go 2015

 3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No one that is immediately close to me.

 4. Did anyone close to you die?

My Uncle Ron – Went to Vegas for the funeral.

 5. What countries did you visit?

USA!  Vegas baby

 6. What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?

More fun with the boys, more patience with kids, less anxiety, LOTS more awesome memories, and learning to FLY (finally loving yourself)

 7. What date from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

November 9th, when I travelled with my mom and Patrick to Vegas to attend my Uncle’s funeral.  It was Patrick’s first time in Vegas and we had so much fun with my aunts and uncles that joined us.

 8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Paying off all my credit cards, and creditors.
Approval of my very own Mortgage
Beginning renovations to my house

 9. What was your biggest failure?

Not being patient enough with my boys.  I find it rather tough sometimes to be a single mom and when mommy has a bad day, I need to remember its not my boys' fault.  They are fantastic.
Not sticking with my running schedule.  I should have kept up with it.

 10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Just regular bumps and bruises, but almost NO fainting!!!  YAY good times.

 11. What was the best thing you bought?

My new Kitchenaid Mixer (my old one died!  Boooo)

 Patrick

 13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Same list as last year, plus a couple more....surprisingly they are all men!  I'm not really considered a man-hater, but really guys, pull up your socks.

 14. Where did most of your money go?

car payments, mortgage, re-paying debt, taking responsibility for my kids.

 15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Making plans with my sweetie for a really great life together.  He makes me SO excited for the future!

 16. What song will always remind you of 2014?

Unfortunately “All About that Bass” – Meghan Trainor (that song drives me nuts, but it reminds me of 2014, so there you have it)

 17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

 i. happier or sadder? Happier

ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner
iii. richer or poorer? Richer

 18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Gone camping, hiking, spending time outside, running, planning, accepting me for who I am and changing the things about me that I don't like.
Though I DID camp more, I will be happy to always add more weekends to my already crammed summer.

 19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Grinding my teeth, procrastinate!

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Nothing jumps out at me as a great musical discovery.  I didn’t have a car stereo installed for about 9 months, so I’m really out of whack with what’s out there that’s new.

Casual business

 34. What kept you sane?

My boys, and watching them grow up. My sisters. Good support from friends.  I didn't actually stay "sane", but if it wasn't for my besties (Tamara and Shannon) I'd be hooped.

 35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Robert Downy Jr.

 36. What political issue stirred you the most?

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

“Rude” by Magic!

Saturday morning jumped out of bed
And put on my best suit
Got in my car and raced like a jet
All the way to you
Knocked on your door with heart in my hand
To ask you a question
'Cause I know that you're an old-fashioned man, yeah

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know
You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is 'No'

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don't you know I'm human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
Yeah, no matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we'll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude

I hate to do this, you leave no choice
Can't live without her
Love me or hate me we will be boys
Standing at that altar
Or we will run away
To another galaxy, you know
You know she's in love with me
She will go anywhere I go

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know
You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, 'cause the answer's still 'No"

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don't you know I'm human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
No matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we'll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Rude

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know
You say, I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die
Tough luck, my friend, but 'No' still means 'No'!

Why you gotta be so rude?
Don't you know I'm human too?
Why you gotta be so rude?
I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl
No matter what you say
Marry that girl
And we'll be a family
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Why you gotta be so
Rude
Why you gotta be so rude?
