Fallen

I really want to post about a few things here, as I haven't posted about anything of worth in a few days, if not weeks!

Unfortunately, I have a ton to say and this isn't the place to write it. Perhaps my paper journal? Yes.

I am not well.

I have not been feeling my normal self.

I have lost most, if not all, my milk supply from stress and other things I imagine.

I feel sad most of the day.

I know the reasons why, and I want to get over it. Its just too fresh right now.

Bah!

Paper journal it is. Sorry folks.

2nd Annual Grammy's have now come and gone!

Lemme 'splain. Grammy's is the family reunion my mother started last year. Its just for her kids, and grandkids. WAY FUN. We went to Park Lake last year, and this year we went to Little Bow Park. The sisters had a ton of fun planning the crafts, activities and food for the family. I went by myself with my boys, as Jos had to work this weekend. I was so worried about how Lliam would be while camping. I arrived with 3 blocked milk ducts and a barfy Lliam. I "fixed" my issue, and Lliam didn't get sick anymore. He slept through the night even! The weather was pretty windy and stormy. It really felt like a tornado just ripped through the campsite. It was so great to have fun with my brothers and sisters.

We had a treasure hunt, crafts for the kids, and lots of card playing. A new game I tried was quite fun...Dutch Blitz. I drove back to Calgary Sunday, July 20th. And its great to be at home.

I hate Moving!

Since Jos and I have been together he and I together have moved to 11 different places! So I hate hate hate moving! My father decided that since he was paying for his place already just east of Nanton, that he might as well move in. That would be a great idea, if he was actually packed and organized. I do realize that his house has been poop-ified by the sewage back up in his basement, so most of that stuff was either thrown out, or boxed up already. It was his hideous garage, and junk, and more junk! He's a horder! If there was any use for it AT ALL, he'd keep it. Even if he could find a way to use it 5 years from now, he'd keep it! So needless to say, he's kept a lot of crap, and a lot of crap it was. So on Saturday I volunteered to help him move (No one else was helping from our family, and dad didn't ASK for any help, he's just not that kind of guy. He expects us to help without having to ask) It was aweful! Nothing was ready to go, I was chasing around AJ in an empty house, and I had to nurse Lliam every 2 hours while there, so I wasn't much help. I called on Jos to drive out to the ranch. He showed up with 4 pizzas...it was 8pm and no one had thought of food! So it was a great rejuvinator! Dad's new place has 60 acres just east of Nanton, and the house is GORGEOUS! It will be a great place to hang out again when we need a weekend away from the city. We finished unloading the 5ton truck at 11pm, and then proceeded to drive home to Calgary. It was such a long drive when I was so tired. I almost fell asleep about 6 times!

I went to Stampede on friday and sunday with my girlfriend from Surrey, Lori Conyers.

It was a nice visit from her, and I was glad to see her. They stayed at this fancy shmancy hotel downtown called the Hotel Arts. It was SOOOO nice, and I had my first valet parking experience. Dude, I had no cash on me to tip these guys, and now I feel like a schmuck! I have never been treated like royalty since my wedding day and honeymoon, so this was a welcomed treat! Stampede was nothing really to write home about, I just wasn't into it this year.

I went to the home show, and DIDN'T buy a thing! Jos should be proud! LOL I came home with a $140 iron last year!

I spent the morning and a little bit of the afternoon spending time with my friend Louise. We just needed to let the kids run amok at the McDonald's playground. It was a good idea at first, then there was about 15 other kids screaming at the top of their lungs at the same time. We had whiney babies that needed to nurse, so we just drove over to McKenzie Lake and let the kids play at the playground outside. A much better idea. They played for about 2 hours before Louise had to head back to Magrath.

I also went and helped out again with the move at my Dad's last night. Maybe Wendy (step mom) has things a little more organized this time 'round. NOT A CHANCE. We drove out to the ranch, and no one was to be seen. They were still at the Stavely house, packing and putting things into the truck. AJ, Lliam and I were prepared and decided to stay behind all alone at the ranch. I had a DVD player, some bubbles, and I could just breastfeed Lliam, we had just finished eating, so I knew we were going to be fine for a couple hours. Just as I was setting up our "spot" at the house, AJ dropped a whole bottle of water on the DVD player, and it fizzed out! No more DVD player, our major source of entertainment for both of us. The house was still EMPTY, not even any furniture to sit on! So we started opening up boxes downstairs to find things to entertain ourselves with. We found towels, and some Toilet paper! at least we could wipe our rear ends when we used the bathroom. So I put AJ and Lliam in the tub. We blew bubbles, and scrubbed the gunk off their bodies. It was really hard to enterain a 4 yr old for 2-1/2 hours in an empty house. I really didn't think that the truck would take that long to get packed up and drive out there. So I found more boxes of stuff...books, pencils and doodle pads. Ok, now at least AJ would be entertained.

At about 9:30 the truck showed up, and the unloading began. Thank goodness Jos and Bryan came out to help, we never could have got it done without them! Thanks guys!! We finally finished at about 11pm and we started the drive back to Calgary. Long day, long night...I'm tired.

Sorry for my long and boring post, I just haven't updated in a while.

6 week follow up appt...

Today was my 6 week follow up appointment w/ my OB/GYN and he's given me a clean bill of way-to-squish-out-a-baby-and-recover health. He knows nothing of "booby" issues, only vajayjay issues, so he can't help me with WHY I am still in pain w/ my ladies?!! (aka breasts) ARGH!!! I'm off my antibiotics, I'm still using the topical cream and still NO SIGNS of getting BETTER!!! I need some voodoo help or something.

Last week was a little busy, hence my lack of blogging regularly. My mother came into town on saturday. We had a great time going for sushi, chasing Anthony around the mall, shopping for some clothes for her etc. This week is going to be even more crazy. I have my girlfriend from Surrey coming into town for Stampede, and so I am thrilled to have her come and visit!

Lliam was blessed at the church yesterday, and it went great. Jos did a very good job, and it was memorable. I had some family there. Not all could make it though :( We had my father and his wife, Wendy. My brother Lance, step sister Kaitlyn, My mom, and my brother Doug (who didn't take more than 10 steps into the chapel, and stood in the back) We had a family dinner afterwards. I made a slooooow sloooow cooked roast beef w/ all the fixin's. So yummy. I love the leftovers for the next day as well.

I'm sorry to report, not one picture was taken of the Blessing, or any of the day. Argh.

Poor Poor Lliam

Yesterday was sort of a rough day for the family. It was time for Lliam to see the doctor for his circumsicion. Its not a very pleasant thing for any mom to witness. I know all moms have different opinions when it comes to this procedure. I believe this option is far more clean, and for something that looks kind of ugly already, why not clean it up a bit? So I opt to have it done for my sons.

Anywho, before I get any further into a heated topic, the docs visit was bitter sweet of course. He was totally numb, but his hysterics were from being tied down to the table while he was being "taken care of" by Dr. Cenaiko. He's healing up just fine, its just so gross for me to handle all the yucky business right now. I'm squeemish of blood and oozy things...so this is not fun. It will all be over soon.

Canada Day, wasn't all that celebratory for our family. We didn't attend any parade, watch fireworks, or go to a BBQ, or anything. We went for a great walk in Nose Hill, and it was such a great time to spend with my boys. In that 1-1/2 hr walk, I decided to join an urban hiking club here in Calgary. WAY FUN!!!

For other members of my family Canada Day was not all that great either. My sister, Katherine and her husband Zed drove through a puddle during the Lethbridge downpour, and flooded their engine in their car, and blew it up!

AND my father's basement bathroom had a complete sewer back up. No one wants poo, and other neighbors' poo in their house at the best of times, but here's the kicker...they were almost packed up for their move to another house, and all their belongings were downstairs where the back up happened. Now all their belongings that were in boxes smell like POO!!! ARGH, I feel so bad for them.

As for my own health issues, it feels like its a slow recovery. I just wish the antibiotics were kicking in faster, and that my issue was cleared up. I'm still feeling pain. Not fun.

I'm really looking forward to 8GV night tonight. Its been almost 2 weeks since I've hung out with any of them, so this will be a welcome treat! Bonfire, and gabbing....my favorite!!!

Lliams baby blessing is this sunday. I'm hosting a family dinner at my house, and I'm really looking forward to it. This week and next week are going to be crazy busy with vistors, stuff, appointments etc. AHHH, its crazy!

Here is an updated photo of Lliam.
